SW: Q/O
So while out hunting for Christmas gifts I ended up at Zapp Comics. I drooled over some 3 inch figures of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan before I decided to put the two down and focus on getting gift for OTHER. As I walked farther into the store I noticed a bunch of 12 inch figures of Han and Luke and on a whim I searched to see if they had a Qui-Gon figure.

Then Right Before My Eyes I Saw It. A Qui-Gon 12 inch Figure. On Ebay these things go for $50+ and Zapps has it fair share of expensive merchandise so I knew that this was probably out of my price range but still I decided to tease myself and check out the price.

I ALMOST DIED! Qui-Gon was priced for

dun
dun
dun

12.99!! Twelve FUCKING ninety nine!! 12.99!!

I swooned! I could not believe my eye and I made a really stupid sound which caught the attention of the sales clerk. He asked me if I needed help and I said 'YES!! Can you grab that Qui-Gon for me?' He laughed and came out from behind the register to take Qui-Gon off the top shelf that goes around the store. I was so worried that I would go to the register and he would cost 129.90 so I look at the guy and asked "this is the correct price right?" He laughed again and said "yeah" and I shit you not I grab Qui-Gon and crushed him to my chest in a "do not even think of taking this out of my hand" motion.

So yeah I BOUGHT HIM!!!! I'll call it a gift to myself for getting my New and improved Job!

and look really crappy pictures!!

OMG I'M IN LOVE )

Ahhhh voting is crazy! First time voting in a presidential election and what a major one!

EDIT: HE WON!!!! HELL YEAH OBAMA WON!!

In the beginning of October (OMG it's been that long) I found a picture on Y! Gallery, by the incredible haydenclone, of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan and I completely fell in love with the two. Haydenclone was kind enough to guide me into the Star Wars fandom and point me in the direction of some wonderful fic. Four weeks later, 3 movies down, and at least 40 stories later these two have become my life. I came across some Star Wars comics where I work and decided to scan them. These are for you Haydenclone! I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. They aren't the complete comic but you can still understand the story (I didn't want any legal troubles)

So, gi_on_a, your LiveJournal reveals...

You are... 7% unique (blame, for example, your interest in victor/joshu) and 15% herdlike (partly because you, like everyone else, enjoy yaoi). When it comes to friends you are popular. In terms of the way you relate to people, you are keen to please. Your writing style (based on a recent public entry) is conventional.

Your overall weirdness is: 41

(The average level of weirdness is: 28.
You are weirder than 81% of other LJers.)

Find out what your weirdness level is!

My favorite part was "You like everyone else enjoy yaoi"!

NOOOOOO!!! Venture Bros. WHY!??!!?!?

In response to the finale I went to the T-shirt of the Week website and immediately bought the T-shirt even though I really shouldn't be spending my money. It just had to be done.

EDWARD II

Joker; HEY GUYS!!1
Today I saw what may be the Coolest, Sexiest, and most Intense play that I will ever see.

What started out as a "Lets go see Randy if he comes to NYC" turned into one of the most satisfying performances ever. As a big History buff and a Pseudo-Librarian who is in change of the history section (or as we at the library so lovingly call, the 900s) anything that has to do with the past is a good time. Add to that my love of all things homosexual and I'm gone. So When I found out that Randy Harrison was preforming in the play Edward II I just about died.

Edward the second, who at his coronation ceremony, sat with his lover Gaveston instead of his wife, Isabella, and then proceeded to fondle one another in front of the entire Royal Court.

Ugh the whole tale is so mouth watering it's hard to imagine that it's a true story. The reign of Edward II was full of conniving Lords, murderous plots, and steamy hot action. What more could you want.

So I was excited about this play almost more then seeing Randy and boy did it ever deliver.

The Theater was packed with Randy fangirls! It was so cute. My friends, [info]____exfirstlove and [info]cuntingdaughter, met up with our friend [info]ellyrianna and [info]camelhaircoat whom [info]____exfirstlove and I met at the Play "Suddenly Last Summer" which Gale Harold was in. It was an very loud reunion. People who worked at the theater even came out to tell us to be quite. Then lo and behold Justine catches a glimps of Randy running into the bathroom and we waited and got to see him rush out like a mad man as our hearts beat wildly beneath our chests.

Now I'm not a connoisseur of plays but I was blown away. The Theater is so tiny, smaller than a class room for 30, which made is so nice and cozy. The Stage was maybe a yard away and I was sitting in the third row, dead center! The stage also had a crazy layout! It was broken into 3 parts with 2 sunken aisles. The performers really utilized the set-up bringing the play to life. The lighting was perfect creating some really dramatic effects. The best were the scenes where they would light up a section behind this black gauze curtain making it look like an old picture film. The coolest part about the whole play is that it's a semi-modern take on the event. Everyone is wearing the sexiest costumes ever. Leather jackets and knee high boots as far as the eye can see. The Queen's wardrobe is to die for!

Randy's part in the play was small at the beginning but in the second half he becomes King Edward's partner in the plot to get rid of the Lords. The other actors were stunning. The acting was super intense! More and more my eyes were glued to the other actors to the point that I was so involved with a scene, I hadn't even realized Randy had come back on stage. Gaveston, Edward, Mortimer, Kent, The Lords, Isabella, the Prince (THE KID!) I don't know who I liked more! There was sex, blood, violence, torture, and death. I was in heaven. The ending was great both visually and as a wrap up to the crazy roller coaster ride that was the play.

After the play was over all us Fangirls went to the lobby downstairs to wait for the actors to leave the building. As we get down there out of the elevator comes the entire cast. The women jumped on Randy like rabid animals and he sort of ignored my group of friends. I wanted to get all the actors to sign my playbill but they all sort of ran away which was sad. BUT I then saw the guy who played Mortimer(Matt Rauch), "the villain" if there was a villain, standing off kind of waiting for Randy and I went up to ask him to take a picture with me. He was SO sweet!! We all talked to him about the character and you could tell he was really into Mortimer, proud that he got to play such a bad ass and it was adorable. Then Matt and Randy were off to get sushi.

All and all a great day. I may not have gotten anyones autograph but I do have a picture with the nicest guy in the world who humored us annoying fans.

And now for the Pictures!

So [info]cuntingdaughter got tickets to go see Ani Difranco tonight in NYC and asked me to go with her in place of her usual Ani partner in crime because that person has moved to California and I am so glad she did. I had a great time, Ani was great. And what was even cuter was that Dennis Kucinich, who was there and made a speech about helping to make a green earth, came out when she did the encore and preformed with her in one song with a little tambourine!! I even have a video of it and picture but I'll post them later.

All in All and awesome night!
